Cintropur UV 4100 (NW4100) is a powerful UV lamp for water disinfection that reliably eliminates bacteria, viruses, and cysts using UV-C radiation – without chemicals and without altering the taste of the water. Cintropur UV lamps are built on the proven design of this brand: inside the opaque black housing, there is a polished stainless steel cylinder (reactor/reflector), a quartz tube, and within it, a UV emitter.
Compared to the Cintropur 2100, the Cintropur 4100 offers higher performance (40 W) and is suitable for increased water consumption or where you want a greater flow reserve.

How the Cintropur 4100 UV lamp works
Water flows through the UV reactor around a UV-C lamp placed in a quartz tube. The polished stainless steel cylinder inside the UV chamber reflects UV radiation, thereby increasing the efficiency of irradiation. UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm disrupts the DNA of microorganisms and prevents them from reproducing – effectively neutralizing them.
UV disinfection is an ecological method: it does not add anything "extra" to the water, does not change the pH or mineral content, and does not create harmful by-products.

In practice, it always holds true: the more turbid the water is or the more iron/manganese it contains, the more the effectiveness of UV can decrease. Therefore, it is important to properly set up pre-filtration and flow rate.
Recommended pre-filtration
It is recommended to have mechanical filtration of at least 25 microns, ideally 5 µm, before the UV lamp. The reason is simple: turbidity and impurities can "shade" UV radiation and reduce the effectiveness of disinfection.
Maintenance and service

- Quartz tube: the manufacturer recommends changing it a maximum of once every 5 years or according to contamination
