Multifunctional filter for well water HydroTreat ELITE Multi with ECOMIX A filtration material
Multifunkčný filter HydroTreat ELITE Multi Vám a Vašej rodine zaistí maximálnu pohodu a spoľahlivosť vďaka bezpečnej upravenej vode v celej domácnosti.
The water softeners we distribute, offering the best quality-to-price ratio, are assembled with a quantity-controlled control head equipped with ceramic discs, which have reliably functioned for many years for thousands of satisfied users, not only in households but also in industry.
At the same time, as a safeguard against device overflow, they are equipped with a float valve.
What is Ecomix material?
Funkcie zariadenia
Intelligent regeneration
Using a microprocessor and an accurate water meter (monitoring flow starting from 2 liters/min), water consumption is monitored. The regeneration time is set so that you never run out of treated water. During regeneration, the control unit provides untreated water.
Counterflow regeneration
Thanks to the countercurrent regeneration option, the HydroTreat ELITE Multi series treatment plants are the most water and salt-efficient on the market.
Exemption from overpayment
Thanks to counterflow regeneration, the release of the filtering material can be omitted under certain circumstances (pre-programmed by Danum, s.r.o.).
Multilingual graphic display
Our devices support Czech, English, German, and Hungarian languages. They communicate clearly in text format and display the current capacity status.
Soft water in brine
The control head allows treated/softened water into the brine, preventing the water in the brine from being discolored by iron and manganese.
Dry brine
The control unit allows water into the brine only 4 hours before regeneration, thereby preventing possible salt deposits resulting from the evaporation of the salt solution and extending the lifespan of the device.
Disinfection of resin
Using the control head, the unit can be directly connected to the resin disinfection, which you can order additionally.
This unit uses the free chlorine generated from the salt solution to disinfect the filter media during each regeneration. This process is already a prescribed supplement in several European countries.
Vacation (energy-saving) mode
There is an option for "preserving" the device, or the material, during a longer absence. The function can be activated manually. Once activated, it closes the water outlet, so it is not necessary to turn off the water before each appliance. It allows water into the brine, then the saline solution is absorbed by the material, which helps avoid possible contamination of the material, while also regenerating it in the meantime. After this mode is turned off, it flushes the saline solution and opens the water supply to the household.

For well owners
The use of cation exchange resin (water softener) has many advantages in treating hard water, i.e., water with high levels of calcium and magnesium. However, when water softening is applied to sources such as well water, several issues must be addressed, especially if dissolved iron or manganese is present in the water.
First, the use of ion-exchange resins is recommended only for the removal of small amounts of iron and manganese. If iron or manganese oxidizes before entering the water softening unit, the unit may become operational and cause resin blockage. As a result, the resin may become saturated and require regular maintenance, such as cleaning with acid or sodium sulfate.
Secondly, the water softener will not be effective if the well water contains oxidized iron or manganese. In such cases, pre-filtration should be used to remove iron and manganese before softening. Alternatively, we recommend using filter materialwhich, in addition to softening water, also treats iron and manganese.
Considering the specific properties of well water, it can be concluded that although water softeners with cation resin have many advantages, we do not recommend their use in this case.
We recommend
- We recommend installing before the water softener mechanical pre-filterthat prevents the entry of floating contaminants (sand, rust, clay, etc.) that could damage the mechanical components of the softening device.
- To choose the right size, you need to to know the hardness of water, peak hourly and average monthly water consumption, and last but not least, also take into account other values such as iron, manganese, ammonia, and organic water pollution. To this end, it is essential to have, or perform a water analysis.
