Multifunctional filter for well water HydroTreat ELITE MultiPlus with Ecomix C material
The multifunctional filter HydroTreat ELITE MultiPlus ensures maximum comfort and reliability for you and your family thanks to safely treated water throughout the household. Using a special filtration materialEcomix CThe device can remove iron, manganese, organic impurities, ammonium ions, and last but not least, water hardness from water without the addition of chemicals. As a result, well water will become a commonly usable source in the household for many years.
Functions of the control head:
Intelligent regeneration
Using a microprocessor and an accurate water meter (monitoring flow starting from 2 liters/min), water consumption is monitored. The regeneration time is set so that you never run out of treated water. During regeneration, the control unit provides untreated water.
Counterflow regeneration
Thanks to the countercurrent regeneration option, the HydroTreat ELITE Multi series treatment systems are the most water and salt-efficient on the market.
Mixing
Directly on the control head, there is an option to set the ratio of raw water mixing.
Exemption from overpayment
Thanks to counterflow regeneration, the option to release the filtration material can be omitted under certain circumstances (pre-programmed by Danum, s.r.o.).
Multilingual graphic display
Our devices support Czech, English, German, and Hungarian languages.
Soft water in brine
The control head allows treated water/softened water into the brine, preventing the water in the brine from being colored by iron and manganese.
Dry brine
The control unit allows water into the brine only 4 hours before regeneration, thereby preventing possible salt deposition resulting from the evaporation of the salt solution and extending the lifespan of the device.
Disinfection of resin
Using the control head, the unit can be directly connected to the resin disinfection, which you can order additionally.
This unit uses the free chlorine generated from the salt solution to disinfect the filter media during each regeneration. This process is already a prescribed supplement in several European countries.
Vacation mode
There is an option for "conservation" of the device, or rather the material, during a longer absence. The function can be activated manually. Once activated, the control head closes the water at the outlet, so it is not necessary to turn off the water before each appliance. It allows water into the brine, then the brine solution is absorbed by the material, thus avoiding possible contamination of the material, which also regenerates in the meantime. After this mode is turned off, the brine solution is flushed out and the water supply to the household is opened.
The water softeners distributed by us, offering the best quality-to-price ratio, are equipped with a control head featuring ceramic discs, which have reliably functioned for many years for thousands of satisfied users, not only in households but also in industry.
At the same time, as a safeguard against device overflow, they are equipped with a float valve.
We supply the devices pre-programmed based on the data provided by the material manufacturer, ensuring that the consumption of salt and water is as economical as possible for regeneration. This way, our plumbers can handle the installation easily without having to worry about programming it.
What is Ecomix material?
The multifunctional filtration material Ecomix C is a multi-component filtering material designed for the treatment of problematic well or tap water with a high content of organic substances. It helps achieve clean, soft, and well-treated water for everyday use.
The Ecomix filter medium is regenerated with salt that needs to be monitored to ensure that a sufficient amount is available for regeneration purposes. Regeneration occurs automatically through the control head – the device draws in and flushes the salt solution. In typical sizing, regeneration is estimated to occur approximately once a week, and it is important to know the water hardness and the maximum hourly and monthly consumption for the proper filter size design.

We recommend
- We recommend installing before the water softener mechanical pre-filterthat prevents the entry of floating impurities (sand, rust, clay, etc.) that could damage the mechanical components of the softening device.
- To choose the right size, you need to to know the hardness value of waterthe peak hourly and average monthly water consumption, and last but not least, also take into account other values such as iron, manganese, ammonia, and organic water pollution. To do this, it is essential to have, or perform a water analysis.
. If you need help determining the correct size, don't hesitate to contact us.
For well owners
The use of cation exchange resin (water softener) has many advantages in treating hard water, i.e., water with high levels of calcium and magnesium. However, when water softening is applied to sources such as well water, several issues must be addressed, especially if dissolved iron or manganese is present in the water.
First, the use of ion-exchange resins is recommended only for the removal of small amounts of iron and manganese. If iron or manganese oxidizes before it reaches the water softening unit, the unit may become operational and cause resin blockage. As a result, the resin may become saturated and require regular maintenance, such as cleaning with acid or sodium sulfate.
Secondly, the water softener will not be effective if the well water contains oxidized iron or manganese. In such cases, pre-filtration should be used to remove iron and manganese before softening. Alternatively, we recommend using filter materialwhich, in addition to softening water, also treats iron and manganese.
Considering the specific properties of well water, it can be concluded that although water softeners with cation resin have many advantages, we do not recommend their use in this case.
